You’ve survived everyday that brought you here.
You’ve been carrying a lot by yourself, including rage, and you don’t have to carry it all alone. I am here to help make hard conversations feel safe. I believe in your ability to heal and break cycles.

What’s Unique About My Background…
Our Struggles Do Not Exist in Isolation
We do not exist in individual silos. I honour the histories, cultures, material conditions, communities and ancestral wisdom that we come from as well as both the pain and the love we carry as individuals.
A Nuanced, Global Perspective on Mental Health
Socio-Political Grounding
Holding a Master’s and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Sociology from the University of Exeter, UK, allows me to explore how the broader society, trends, and systems impact our mental health.
Hands-on Healing
My formal training in Professional Counselling gives me the practical, competency-based skills to link social and cultural contexts directly to our emotions, healing journeys and liberation in a sound ethical way.
Over a Decade of Diverse Professional Experience
I also draw from over 10 years of professional experience across different continents, ranging from case management, employment counselling, student success, community liaison to distress centre crisis lines.
My Own Lived Experience
My own journey involving migration across South Asia, UK and Canada, with the trials and triumphs, ground my practice in deep empathy, cultural humility and an understanding of what rock bottom feels like!
My Approach & Our Therapeutic Canvas
A space to breathe, deconstruct and co-create
Tailored to Your Intersections
Healing not a one-size-fits all checklist. Because your identity is shaped by your various intersections, relationship, conditions and chapters, my approach is integrative and I draw from various therapeutic models and practical tools to adapt to your unique journey including
Person-Centered
Centering around your agency, pace and wisdom.
Narrative Therapy
Making the problem separate from your identity and collaboratively re-authoring your story based.
Psychodynamic
Exploring unconscious patterns, and past experiences including generational cycles.
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Reframing and rewiring negative thought patterns and behaviours.
Solution-Focused
Building on your existing strengths for practical progress.
Psycho-somatic Techniques
Connecting the mind and the body to release stored stress and trauma, helping the body feel safe.
Activating Your Inner Healer
Together, we can explore healing plans that help you grow and help to activate your inner healer. I also believe we heal in community so we can explore belonging, connection and rootedness within your collective spaces.
Who am I best equipped to work with…
If you are..
Processing Grief, Loss and Political Trauma
Navigating physical loss of a loved one or the grief of leaving behind a homeland, relationship or a past version of yourself. Or if you’re grappling with the weight of state violence, collective grief, or exhaustion of witnessing global crises from afar.
Navigating Life Transitions
Coping with major shifts such as migration, cultural adjustments, evolving identities – including coping with a recent diagnosis or changes in family structures, career pivots or shifting living situations.
Experiencing Burnout
Facing academic burnout, career exhaustion, fatigue from navigating oppressive or unsupportive systems, compassion fatigue, relational burnout from carrying too much alone.
Moving Through Anxiety or Depressive Moods
Needing support when your emotions are feeling heavy or making you feel stuck in a rut and are beginning to impact your daily life.
Untangling Self-Esteem, Unworthiness and Isolation
Exploring habits of people-pleasing, harsh inner critic, feelings of unworthiness and grappling social isolation and feelings of not belonging in the spaces you occupy.
You are not alone.
The Meaning Behind Nurturing Roots
Why the name?
I don’t believe in “think happy thoughts and you’ll be fine”. We are made up of deep roots, and like a tree, the healthier the roots are, the more the branches and leaves can flourish.
When it comes to healing, we need to dig deeper than just surface-level pruning, get to the root causes, beneath the surface, care of our foundations so they will in turn take care of us.
Beneath the earth’s surface, the roots are also connected and in active communication with other roots, sharing resources, which is a metaphor for collective healing. The “I” slowly transforms into “we”.

Beyond the Therapy Room
In my spare time, I love to read – my absolute favourite publication is the London Review of Books, which serves as my quiet safe space to slow down, unfold, and absorb thoughtful essays. I am also passionate about traveling and have solo-traveled extensively across Central Asia. Closer to home, you can find me enjoying soothing walks in nature, listening to thought-provoking podcasts, crafting and volunteering for the crisis line!
